The award celebrates exemplary leadership by outstanding women who have attained and embody the highest level of professional excellence in their business or profession, devote time and energy to improve the quality of life for others in the community and actively assist women in realizing their full leadership potential. The award’s rich history, international scope and emphasis on mentorship make this award unique and amongst the most prestigious leadership awards one can receive.

The 2016 ATHENA Women’s Leadership Luncheon will be held on Thursday, November 17, 2016 from 11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. at the Rosen Centre.  The annual luncheon brings together established women leaders with their up and coming counterparts, to engage in dialogue about mentoring, entrepreneurship and guiding principles that are characteristic of women leaders.  Orlando Health is the presenting sponsor of this year’s hallmark event.

This year’s highly anticipated keynote address will be delivered by acclaimed Author of The Selfie Vote: Where Millennials Are Leading America, Kristen Soltis Anderson.  She is a pollster and co-founder of Echelon Insights, a research and analytics firm. She was one of TIME’s “30 Under 30 Changing the World” and has been featured as one of ELLE’s 2016 “Most Compelling Women in Washington.”   Anderson is an ABC News political contributor, columnist at The Washington Examiner, and is the co-host of The Pollsters, a bipartisan weekly podcast. She regularly appears on programs such as Morning Joe, Fox News Sunday, Real Time With Bill Maher and more.

One of the highlights of the annual event promotes dialogue between established women leaders and their emerging counterparts at structured round table discussions emphasizing the eight enlightened principles of the ATHENA Leadership Model®.  Table discussions are facilitated by women who have been recognized as outstanding role models in the Central Florida community.

“As women leaders, it’s truly our obligation to support one another and pass the baton to the next generation, said Karen Keene, President of ATHENA Orlando Women’s Leadership, Inc. “It is through this forum of collaboration, listening and learning that younger, emerging leaders will come away equipped with new perspective and meaningful relationships.”

Proceeds from the event are contributed toward a five year, $100,000.00 endowed scholarship that was established to support female graduate students through the UCF Foundation, Inc.

Event registration is available below. Corporate tables and sponsorships are also available. For more information, contact Karen Keene at 407-718-1562, or email
